पुणे : राज्यभरात संतापाची लाट निर्माण करणाऱ्या नसरापूर येथील साडेतीन वर्षीय चिमुकलीवरील अत्याचार आणि हत्या प्रकरणात पुणे जिल्हा व सत्र न्यायालयाने आरोपी भीमराव कांबळे (वय ६५) याला फाशीची शिक्षा सुनावली. विशेष न्यायाधीश एस. आर. साळुंखे यांनी हा गुन्हा ‘दुर्मिळात दुर्मिळ’ स्वरूपाचा असल्याचे नमूद करत मृत्युदंडाची शिक्षा जाहीर केली.
न्यायालयाने निकाल देताना हा गुन्हा अत्यंत नियोजनबद्ध, क्रूर आणि अमानुष असल्याचे स्पष्ट केले. स्वतःचा बचाव करू न शकणाऱ्या निष्पाप चिमुकलीवर लैंगिक अत्याचार करून तिची हत्या करण्यात आली. वैद्यकीय व फॉरेन्सिक पुराव्यांमधून मृत्यूनंतरही मृतदेहाची विटंबना झाल्याचे स्पष्ट झाल्याची नोंद न्यायालयाने केली. या प्रकरणात तपास, आरोपपत्र, सुनावणी आणि अंतिम निकाल अशी संपूर्ण न्यायप्रक्रिया अवघ्या दोन महिन्यांत पूर्ण झाली. त्यामुळे महाराष्ट्रातील गंभीर गुन्ह्यांमधील हा सर्वात जलदगतीने निकाली निघालेल्या खटल्यांपैकी एक ठरला आहे.
न्यायालयाने सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाच्या विविध निर्णयांचा आधार घेत हा गुन्हा ‘दुर्मिळात दुर्मिळ’ श्रेणीत मोडत असल्याचे नमूद केले. पीडितेचे अत्यल्प वय, गुन्ह्याची क्रूरता, आरोपीची मानसिकता, समाजावर झालेला परिणाम आणि आरोपीमध्ये सुधारणा होण्याची शक्यता नसल्याचे निरीक्षण नोंदवत मृत्युदंडाची शिक्षा योग्य असल्याचे न्यायालयाने स्पष्ट केले. शिक्षा निश्चित करताना आरोपीचा पूर्वीचा गुन्हेगारी इतिहासही विचारात घेण्यात आला. अल्पवयीन मुलीवरील अत्याचाराचा प्रयत्न, महिलेवर हल्ला आणि महिलांशी गैरवर्तनाच्या पूर्वीच्या घटनांमुळे आरोपीमध्ये सुधारणा होण्याची शक्यता नसल्याचे न्यायालयाने नमूद केले.
या प्रकरणात सीसीटीव्ही फुटेज, डीएनए अहवाल, फॉरेन्सिक तपास, वैद्यकीय पुरावे, सायबर विश्लेषण आणि ५५ साक्षीदारांच्या जबाबांमुळे आरोपीविरुद्ध ठोस पुराव्यांची साखळी उभी राहिली. पोलिसांनी अवघ्या १६ दिवसांत आरोपपत्र दाखल केले. त्यानंतर न्यायालयाने सलग सुनावणी घेत अल्पावधीत निकाल दिला. १ मे २०२६ रोजी पुणे जिल्ह्यातील भोर तालुक्यातील नसरापूर येथे आरोपीने खाऊ देण्याचे आमिष दाखवून साडेतीन वर्षीय मुलीला सोबत नेले. त्यानंतर तिच्यावर लैंगिक अत्याचार करून निर्घृण हत्या केली आणि पुरावे नष्ट करण्यासाठी मृतदेह शेणाच्या ढिगाऱ्यात लपवून ठेवला. सीसीटीव्ही फुटेजच्या आधारे आरोपीला अटक करण्यात आली. तपासादरम्यान आरोपीने गुन्ह्याची कबुली दिल्याची माहितीही समोर आली.
या घटनेनंतर राज्यभरातून आरोपीला फाशीची शिक्षा देण्याची मागणी करण्यात आली होती. विविध संघटनांनी आंदोलने व मोर्चे काढले होते. न्यायालयाने फाशीची शिक्षा सुनावल्यानंतर पीडित कुटुंबीयांनी समाधान व्यक्त केले. निकालाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर न्यायालय परिसरात कडक पोलिस बंदोबस्त ठेवण्यात आला होता.

Pune : In a landmark judgment, the Pune District and Sessions Court has awarded the death sentence to Bhimrao Kamble (65) in the Nasarapur Case, involving the rape and murder of a three-and-a-half-year-old girl. Special Judge S. R. Salunkhe described the offence as falling under the “rarest of rare” category while pronouncing the sentence.
The court observed that the crime was pre-planned, exceptionally brutal and inhuman. The victim, who was too young to defend herself, was sexually assaulted and murdered. Medical and forensic evidence also indicated that the victim’s body was desecrated after her death.
The investigation, filing of the chargesheet, trial and final verdict were completed within just two months, making it one of the fastest concluded trials in a crime of this nature in Maharashtra.
Relying on Supreme Court precedents, the court held that the brutality of the crime, the victim’s tender age, the mindset of the accused, the impact on society and the absence of any possibility of reformation justified awarding capital punishment.
The court also considered the accused’s previous criminal record, including allegations of attempting to assault a minor girl, attacking a woman and misbehaving with women. These factors were cited as evidence that the accused was unlikely to reform.
The prosecution established a strong chain of evidence through CCTV footage, DNA reports, forensic examination, medical evidence, cyber analysis and statements of 55 witnesses. Police filed the chargesheet within 16 days, after which the court conducted continuous hearings before delivering the verdict.
The incident took place on May 1, 2026, in Nasarapur village of Bhor taluka, Pune district. According to investigators, the accused lured the child by offering food, sexually assaulted and murdered her, and concealed the body beneath a heap of cow dung in an attempt to destroy evidence. CCTV footage played a crucial role in identifying the accused, who was later arrested and reportedly confessed during the investigation.
The case had triggered widespread public outrage across Maharashtra, with several organisations and citizens demanding capital punishment. Following the verdict, the victim’s family expressed satisfaction, while heavy police security was deployed around the court premises.
