धुळे : केंद्रीय रस्ते व परिवहन मंत्रालयाने नाशिक जिल्ह्यातील वणी ते गुजरातमधील सापुतारा या राष्ट्रीय महामार्गाच्या चौपदरीकरणाचा महत्त्वपूर्ण निर्णय घेतला आहे. या प्रकल्पासाठी अंतिम भूसंपादन अधिसूचना जाहीर करण्यात आली असून त्यामुळे प्रत्यक्ष कामाला गती मिळणार आहे. धुळे व नंदुरबार जिल्ह्यातून गुजरातकडे जाणाऱ्या प्रवाशांसाठी नाशिक–वणी–सापुतारा हा मार्ग अधिक जलद, सुरक्षित आणि सोयीस्कर ठरणार आहे. सुमारे १७ किलोमीटर लांबीच्या या चौपदरीकरणामुळे वाहतूक कोंडी कमी होणार असून वेळ व इंधनाची मोठी बचत होणार आहे. (Vani to Saputara National Highway four laning)

सध्या वणी ते हातगड हा मार्ग दुहेरी व घाटाचा असल्याने वाहनचालक व पर्यटकांना अडचणींचा सामना करावा लागतो. चौपदरीकरण पूर्ण झाल्यानंतर हा मार्ग अधिक सुरक्षित होईल आणि नाशिक जिल्ह्यातील हातगड परिसरात सापुतारासारख्या पर्यटनवृद्धीस मोठी संधी उपलब्ध होणार आहे. सिंहस्थ कुंभमेळ्याच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर नाशिक ते वणी या रस्त्याच्या चौपदरीकरणासाठी राज्याच्या सार्वजनिक बांधकाम विभागाने यापूर्वीच सुमारे १०० कोटी रुपयांच्या कामास मंजुरी दिली आहे. त्यामुळे सिंहस्थपूर्व काळातच नाशिक ते सापुतारा हा संपूर्ण मार्ग अधिक वेगवान व सुलभ होण्याचा मार्ग मोकळा झाला आहे.

या महामार्गाचा लाभ केवळ नाशिक जिल्ह्यापुरता मर्यादित न राहता धुळे व नंदुरबार जिल्ह्यांनाही मोठ्या प्रमाणात होणार आहे. नंदुरबार जिल्ह्यातील आदिवासी भागातील कृषी व वनउत्पादने गुजरात व नाशिकच्या बाजारपेठेत पोहोचवणे अधिक सुलभ होणार आहे. (Vani to Saputara National Highway four laning)

गुजरातमधील डांग जिल्हा व सापुतारा परिसरातून येणारी वाहतूक हातगड घाट ओलांडून वणी येथे नव्या चौपदरी महामार्गाला मिळेल. यामुळे गुजरात–नाशिक–धुळे–नंदुरबार असा प्रवास अधिक मजबूत होणार असून पर्यटन, व्यापारी व भाविकांची वाहतूक वाढण्याची शक्यता आहे.

Dhule : The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved the four-laning of the Wani to Saputara National Highway in Nashik district, extending into Gujarat. The final land acquisition notification has been issued, paving the way for the execution of this ambitious infrastructure project.

This 17-kilometer four-lane highway will significantly benefit travelers from Dhule and Nandurbar districts heading towards Gujarat by providing a faster, safer, and more convenient route. The project is expected to reduce traffic congestion while saving travel time and fuel costs.

Currently, the Wani to Hatgad stretch is a narrow ghat road, limiting traffic flow and tourist movement. Once upgraded to a four-lane highway, the route will enhance safety and open new tourism opportunities in the Hatgad region of Nashik, similar to Saputara.

In preparation for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, the Maharashtra Public Works Department has already sanctioned approximately ₹100 crore for the Nashik–Wani road expansion. With this, the entire Nashik to Saputara corridor is set to become smoother and faster before the mega religious event.

The benefits of this highway extend beyond Nashik to Dhule and Nandurbar districts. Agricultural and forest produce from tribal areas of Nandurbar will gain easier access to markets in Nashik and Gujarat, boosting regional trade and economic growth.

Traffic from Gujarat’s Dang district and Saputara region will connect through Hatgad Ghat to Wani, strengthening connectivity between Gujarat, Nashik, Dhule, and Nandurbar. This enhanced corridor is expected to significantly boost tourism, trade, and inter-state mobility.
