रायडर्स सांगतात की, पावसात, उन्हात, रात्री-अपरात्री ग्राहकांपर्यंत वेळेत ऑर्डर पोहोचवण्याचे काम ते प्रामाणिकपणे करतात. अपघाताचा धोका, वाहनाचा खर्च, पेट्रोल आणि मोबाईल डेटा यांचा भार मात्र पूर्णपणे रायडर्सवरच असतो. कंपन्यांचा नफा वाढत असताना, प्रत्यक्ष काम करणाऱ्या रायडर्सच्या उत्पन्नात अपेक्षित वाढ होत नाही, ही मुख्य तक्रार आहे. Nashik: Delivery riders working with Swiggy, Zomato, and other food delivery platforms have launched a work stoppage protest demanding better pay and working conditions. The protest is not limited to Nashik alone, as riders across India have joined a nationwide strike to highlight their grievances.

With the rising cost of living, including food prices, fuel rates, and vehicle maintenance expenses, riders say their earnings have not increased proportionately. Despite working long hours and completing multiple deliveries daily, many riders struggle to make ends meet.

Riders pointed out that they work under challenging conditions—heat, rain, late nights, and traffic risks—while bearing expenses such as fuel, bike maintenance, mobile data, and accident risks on their own. While delivery companies continue to grow and expand their profits, the riders who form the backbone of these platforms feel neglected and underpaid.

The riders are demanding higher per-order payments, fuel allowances, insurance coverage, and fair compensation policies. They have urged Swiggy, Zomato, and other companies to take immediate steps to address these concerns, warning that the protest could intensify if their demands are ignored.
