त्यांनी स्पष्ट केले की, गेल्या कुंभमेळ्यात वापरलेली जागा पुन्हा का वापरली जात नाही? नव्या झाडांसाठी जागा उपलब्ध असल्याचे सांगितले जाते, पण साधूग्राम मात्र पवित्र तपोवनातच उभारण्याचा आग्रह का? “निसर्ग आधी संपवायचा आणि नंतर ‘नवीन झाडे लावू’ अशा दिखाव्याने जनतेची दिशाभूल करायची, हा सरळ सरळ भ्रष्टाचार आहे,” असा आरोपही त्यांनी केला.
ठाकरेंनी पुढे एक महत्त्वाचा खुलासा करत सांगितले की, त्यांच्या हातात असलेल्या टेंडर दस्तऐवजानुसार तपोवन परिसरात भविष्यात कॉन्फरन्स हॉल आणि कन्व्हेन्शन सेंटर उभारण्याचा स्पष्ट उल्लेख आहे. “कुंभमेळा हे फक्त मुखवटा आहे; प्रत्यक्षात कंत्राटदारांसाठी जमीन मोकळी करण्याचा डाव सुरू आहे. उद्या ही पवित्र भूमी कोणाच्या तरी मालकीच्या घशात जाणार नाही याची हमी कोण देणार?” असा गंभीर प्रश्नही त्यांनी उपस्थित केला.

According to Thackeray, tender documents clearly mention plans for future commercial structures like a conference hall and a convention center in the Tapovan area. “The Kumbh Mela is merely an excuse; the real intention is to clear land for contractors.
