चारही महापालिकांमध्ये एकूण २ हजार ३९८ हून अधिक उमेदवारी अर्जांची विक्री झाल्याने निवडणुकीची रणधुमाळी चांगलीच तापली आहे. प्रशासनाच्या मते, पुढील काही दिवसांत अर्ज दाखल करण्याची प्रक्रिया अधिक वेग घेण्याची शक्यता आहे.

नाशिक महापालिकेत पहिल्याच दिवशी तब्बल १ हजार ७६३ अर्जांची विक्री झाली. शहरातील दहा निवडणूक कार्यालयांवर इच्छुक उमेदवारांची मोठी गर्दी उसळली होती. सिडको विभागात सर्वाधिक ५४४ अर्जांची विक्री झाली. पंचवटी विभागातील प्रभाग क्रमांक ३ मधून पूनम मोगरे यांनी पहिल्याच दिवशी एकमेव अर्ज दाखल केला.

या निवडणुकीसाठी भाजपकडे सर्वाधिक १ हजार ६७ इच्छुक उमेदवार असल्याची माहिती समोर आली आहे. शिवसेना, राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस, शिवसेना उद्धव बाळासाहेब ठाकरे पक्ष, राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस शरदचंद्र पवार पक्ष, काँग्रेस तसेच अपक्ष उमेदवारही मोठ्या संख्येने रिंगणात उतरण्याच्या तयारीत आहेत. मालेगाव महापालिकेत पहिल्याच दिवशी अर्ज दाखल झाला नसला तरी १९६ इच्छुकांनी ३६१ अर्जांची खरेदी केली आहे. अर्ज घेणाऱ्यांमध्ये विविध पक्षांचे प्रमुख नेते आणि माजी नगरसेवकांचा समावेश असल्याने आगामी निवडणूक चुरशीची ठरण्याची शक्यता आहे. (Nashik Municipal Election Form Sale)

धुळे महापालिकेसाठी पहिल्या दिवशी २९७ अर्जांची विक्री झाली. अद्याप एकही अर्ज दाखल झाला नसला तरी अर्जविक्रीचा वेग पाहता पुढील दिवसांत मोठ्या प्रमाणावर उमेदवारी अर्ज दाखल होतील, असा अंदाज प्रशासनाने व्यक्त केला आहे.

जळगाव महापालिकेत पहिल्याच दिवशी तब्बल ७७७ उमेदवारी अर्जांची विक्री झाली. महापालिका इमारतीत उमेदवार आणि कार्यकर्त्यांची प्रचंड गर्दी झाली होती. अर्ज घेण्यासाठी रांगा थेट मुख्य रस्त्यापर्यंत पोहोचल्याने पोलिसांचा कडक बंदोबस्त तैनात करण्यात आला होता. विविध विभागांमध्ये ना हरकत प्रमाणपत्र (NOC) मिळवण्यासाठी इच्छुकांची धावपळ सुरू असल्याचेही चित्र दिसून आले.

चारही महापालिकांमध्ये पहिल्याच दिवशी झालेली मोठ्या प्रमाणातील अर्जविक्री पाहता, उत्तर महाराष्ट्रातील या निवडणुका अत्यंत चुरशीच्या आणि राजकीयदृष्ट्या महत्त्वाच्या ठरणार असल्याचे स्पष्ट झाले आहे.

The nomination form sale and filing process for the general elections of four municipal corporations—Nashik, Malegaon, Dhule, and Jalgaon—began on Tuesday. On the very first day, a massive response was witnessed across all four cities. (Nashik Municipal Election Form Sale)

A total of over 2,398 nomination forms were sold within 24 hours, indicating that the election battle in North Maharashtra has intensified significantly. In Nashik Municipal Corporation, 1,763 nomination forms were sold on the first day alone. Heavy crowds were seen at all ten election offices across the city, resembling polling-day scenes. The CIDCO division recorded the highest sale with 544 forms. From ward number 3 in the Panchavati division, Poonam Mogre filed the only nomination on day one. (Nashik Municipal Election Form Sale)

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has the highest number of aspirants with 1,067 candidates showing interest. Other parties including Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party, Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), Congress, and several independent candidates are also preparing to contest.

In Malegaon Municipal Corporation, although no nominations were filed on the first day, 196 aspirants purchased 361 forms. The presence of senior leaders and former corporators among the aspirants suggests a highly competitive contest ahead.

For Dhule Municipal Corporation, 297 nomination forms were sold on day one. While no nominations were filed yet, officials expect a surge in filings in the next few days.

In Jalgaon Municipal Corporation, 777 nomination forms were sold on the very first day. Large crowds of candidates and supporters gathered at the municipal building. Queues extended to the main road, prompting heavy police deployment. Aspirants were also seen rushing across departments to obtain No Objection Certificates (NOCs).

The large-scale sale of nomination forms across all four municipal corporations on the first day clearly indicates that the upcoming municipal elections in North Maharashtra will be highly competitive.
